Marwar (also called Jodhpur region) is a region of southwestern Rajasthan state in North Western India. It lies partly in the Thar Desert. The word `maru` is Sanskrit for desert. The word `marwar` is `the region of desert. Mostly it consists of Jodhpur, Bikaner, & Jaisalmer. Keoladeo Ghana National Park formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur , Rajasthan, India is a famous avifauna sanctuary  that hosts thousands of birds, especially during the winter season. ... It was declared a protected sanctuary  in 1971.

Ajmer - Pushkar (16 km )

Pushkar is a town bordering the Thar Desert,  of Rajasthan. It`s set on Pushkar Lake, a sacred Hindu site with 52 ghats (stone staircases) where pilgrims bathe. The town has hundreds of temples, including 14th-century Jagatpita Brahma Mandir, dedicated to the god of creation, which has a distinctive red spire and walls inlaid with pilgrims’ silver coins. Ajmer is famous for Darga.

Mount Abu

Udaipur - Mount Abu (161km, 2hrs 45mins)

Mount Abu is a hill station in western India’s Rajasthan state, near the Gujarat border.
